    This seems to me to be a very obvious thing to say, but apparently it isn't clear to everyone. The Olympic committee doesn't make a selection based on the popularity of the President and First Lady.

    The current desire to turn everything into political point-scoring is sickening and is polluting America as the right rejoice in what is bad for the country, because it means bad headlines for the president. Some elements of the right need to grow up and become an effective opposition, not a bunch of purile bullies. Fortunately, I think they're going to have plenty of time to think about what they've become.
